Cheloor is a locality in Irinjalakuda town in Thrissur district of Kerala. This is a collection of information on the place.

Cheloor is a small locality which constitues around a single local body ward in the Irinjalakuda muncipality. It is bordered by Edakulam on the south, Irinjalakuda town area on the east, Kandeswaram on the north and Edathirinji on the west.

Peruvallipadam, Shanmughan canal, Edakulam bridge are some geographical landmarks which touches Cheloor.

Cheloor kavu is the largest temple in Cheloor.

KSRTC bus stand is just north of cheloor. Irinjalakuda muncipal bus stand is about 1.5km away. The Potta-Moonupedika road, which is State Highway 61 (SH 61), passes in the east-west direction through Cheloor.

KS Park, a children’s park of KSE Ltd which is open to the public from 4pm to 8pm is on the SH 61 road.

Shanmugham canal, a canal constructed when R.K.Shanmugam Chetty was the diwan of Kochi kingdom runs in the east-west direction and is the southern border of Cheloor. In older times, it was connected to markets farther away upto Kodungallur, and boats carrying goods used to pass through it supplying Irinjalakuda. Edakulam bridge spans over it and connects Cheloor to Edakulam. There is also a smaller bridge called marapalam (wooden bridge) a little to the west. Shanmugham canal goes east and stops near the Irinjalakuda agriculture office. Since it was dug by people, finding huge rocks stopped further extension of the canal to chantha (market) as was planned. To the west, it extends upto Kanoli canal which is linked to Kakkathuruthy puzha (river).

Kuttam kulam is a public pond adjacent to the SH 61 road, just west of the edakulam vazhi bus stop.
